Adventure Sports in Dharwad
The Kali River which flows through Dandeli wildlife reserve is famous for hosting white water rafting and canoeing activities along with adventure sports. Enthusiasts of trekking can trek through climbing a thousand stairs coursing through thick forest cover to reach Kavala caves located 25 kilometers from Dandeli. The idol of Lord Shiva resides in the caves considered an attractive tourist spot.

For camping enthusiasts, Kulgi Nature Camp at a distance of 14 kilometres from Dandeli National Park and sanctuary is located on the Ambikanagar-Yellapur road and is fitted with a museum and nature interpretation centre. Campers can also trek up to Syntheri Rocks near Gund village which is located 25 kilometres from Dandeli. The granite formations and structures forming a canyon through which Kaneri River flows is amazing and ideal for camping and the 300 feet granite stone structure is also noteworthy.
