Nrupatunga Betta is a popular picnic hub and a bird watching site atop a hillock and also a jogger’s paradise in Dharwad-Hubli region. More noteworthy places in this region are Chandramouleswara Temple, Indira Glass House, Shankara Math, Siddharoodha Math.

Dharwad is accessible by train and air from Hubli along with intercity buses, cabs and auto rickshaws which ply on this route.
